Dangerous 4 Law Enforcement-At what point do cities/towns arbitrarily NOT enforce other state laws? Controlling what the PDs can/cannot enforce is a dangerous course action. If you disagree with the law-change it, Stop using LE to pursue agenda. @MichaelAronNJTV @NJSPBA @njfop https://t.co/Od0lW9s4z7

Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley survived a challenge to his nominating petitions for reelection, according to a letter from Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon dated June 13, which was obtained by MMM via OPRA request.
After noticing irregularities in the Curley petitions, Monmouth County Republican Chairman, Sheriff Shaun Golden, submitted a formal challenge to the petitions requesting that Hanlon’s staff review the signatures before certifying Curley’s candidacy for Freeholder as an Independent.
Hanlon found that over 120 signatures were invalid because the signers were not registered to vote in Monmouth County or the signature on the petition did not match the signature in the state voter records. The censured freeholder still has over 100 valid signatures, making his overall petition valid.Art Gallagher | Filed under: Monmouth County News | Tags: Angelo Genova, Disgraced Freeholder John P. Murphy claims bi-partisan support for property tax/charity scheme. Republicans disagree, call for NJ reforms
Marlboro, NJ-With Belmar Mayor Matt Doherty looking like Chris Christie standing behind Donald Trump on Super Tuesday — and four other Democrat mayors standing behind him, Governor Phil Murphy today declared he had bi-partisan support for his plan to have the state’s municipalities set up charities to accept donations in lieu of property taxes. Murphy said that the recent income tax reform passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump is a tax increase on New Jersey’s middle class. The scheme he is proposing would, if allowed by the IRS, reverse the impact of the tax reform law’s $10,000 cap on the state and local tax (SALT) deduction.Art Gallagher | Filed under: Monmouth County News, New Jersey, Phil Murphy | Tags: Belmar Mayor Matt Doherty, Chris Christie, Congressman Leonard Lance, Declan O'Scanlon, Donald Trump, Governor Phil Murphy, Income taxes, Jon Hornik, Matt Doherty, Monmouth County News, New Jersey, NJ Property Taxes, SALT deduction, Sen. Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden is urging all residents and visitors to enjoy their 4th of July holiday celebrations while staying safe from the dangers of illegal fireworks.
“The result of fireworks being handled in the wrong way can cause serious injuries,” said Sheriff Golden. “It’s important to know that the danger is not only limited to general Fourth of July fireworks. Even sparklers should be kept away from children, as they can easily cause harm.”
Fireworks are dangerous, illegal and should only be handled by the professionals, Golden said. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, 230 people on average are treated for fireworks related injuries on a daily basis during the month around the July 4th holiday.Art Gallagher | Filed under: Monmouth County, Monmouth County News, Monmouth County Sheriff's Office, Shaun Golden | Tags: 4th of July, Fireworks, Independence Day, July 4th, Monmouth County News, Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden, Shaun Golden | Comments Off on Sheriff Golden Warns Of Dangers of Fireworks
