Former Asbury Park Councilman Jim Keady, the man who provoked Governor Chris Christie into his famous “Sit Down and Shut Up” rant and then asked him out to dinner was easily defeated in his bid to become the Democrat nominee for the House of Representatives in New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District.

Frederick John LaVergne will challenge Congressman Tom MacArthur the November general election. Based on unofficial results, LaVergne was the choice of 62.7% of CD-3 Democrats with 32,493 votes to Keady’s 19,347 votes.

Who is Jon SalonisS?

You say SalonisS, I say Salonis

Jon SalonisAccording to the Ocean County Signal, Jon Salonis is a 29 year old Democratic operative who lives with his mother in the Ocean County town of Bayville.

Here in Monmouth County, we used to know Salonis as Vin Gopal’s partner in the John Heyer identity that the Monmouth County Democratic Chairman used when he launched his new blog as answer to MoreMonmouthMusings last month.

Thanks to OCSignal’s research, we now know that Salonis owns the consulting company that produced the “push-poll” robo calls for Cory Booker and the Monmouth County Democrats last year. We also now know that Salonis is the chairman of a Democratic PAC called Move NJ Forward.

In violation of facebook’s Community Standards, Salonis has at least * three 10 facebook pages;  the former John Heyer page, what appears to be his “real” page and a third page that spells his last name Salonis(emphasis added) that he is using to recruit Republicans to “like” the blog he edits for Vin.

Some Republicans fear that Salonis is using his secret identity for opposition research. “If I had accepted his friends request he would have had access to my entire timeline and things I share only with my ‘real friends’,” said one Monmouth County Republican elected official.  “He keeps adding our people to his facebook group and he is relentless,” said a Republican Party official.
