The Joint Legislative Committee on Ethical Standards dismissed a complaint by Assembly Members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey against Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso today, finding that there was no probable cause for the Democrats complaint against their Republican colleague, according to reports on NewJerseyGlobe and APP.
“While this matter never stopped me from doing my job for the people of the 13th district, I’m glad its behind me,” DiMaso said to MMM in phone interview.

Senator Vin Gopal voted with his Trenton Democrat cronies last week in voting in favor of legislation that would keep candidates for President and Vice President off the ballot in New Jersey unless they disclose five years of tax returns . Gopal also voted against an amendment to the bill that would have it apply to himself and his fellow legislators and the governor.
Assembly Members Joann Downey and Eric Houghtaling voted in favor of identical legislation—and against the amendment to have the bill apply to themselves—in 2017.

The Asbury Park Press has done an admirable job for most of this year focusing on New Jersey’s ridiculously high taxes, but as we are about to enter election season, the media outlet is apparently trying to help reelect liberal special interest puppets, Eric Houghtailing and Joann Downey, to the State Assembly.
