Happy Thanksgiving

Get off the Internet and spend time with your family, friends and loved ones.

Make a new friend.

Don’t eat too much today or spend too much tomorrow.

Thank you for making MMM part of your life.

This year, more than any before, I am present to the many blessing which have been bestowed upon me, for which I am grateful.

While I don’t recommend it, I am grateful that I was arrested and spent three weeks in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.

I am grateful to have met the men and women I met while at MCCI, both inmates and staff. They gave me insights into life that will contribute to the rest of my life.

I am grateful to my friends who made sure I was safe.

I am grateful to know who loves me and has faith in me.  I am grateful to know who doesn’t.

I am grateful to know who my friends are.

I am grateful to know that I am either “popular”, “powerful,” or “polarizing” enough that my arrest, incarceration and release where more newsworthy than items in the police blotter.

I am grateful that I will have the opportunity to celebrate these, and many other blessings with friends and loved ones.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving

I’m looking forward to being with family today, even if it means several hours of driving round trip. Last year much of my extended family was scattered geographically during the holidays.  As I look forward to sharing today with them I realise how much I missed them throughout the past year.

Thank you for being a MMM reader.  Five years ago when I started musing on the Internet, I never imagined I would have the voice I have today.  Thank you for that.

If you need a respite from food or football today, check out NJN’s Reporters Roundtable with Michael Aron, featuring Jay Lassiter and Jeff Gardner of BlueJersey, Murray Sabrin, and yours truly.  I’m thankful that NJN posted the show early.  It will be broadcast on TV Friday at 7PM and Sunday at 10AM.  Channel 23 on Comcast locally.  Maybe a commenter will post the Cablevision channel in the comments.

The link to the Reporters Roundtable video is here.
