After getting a brief taste of cool autumn temperatures during the first few days of October, New Jersey has been stuck in a warming trend that has made it feel more like late summer the past few days. Thanks to warm air flowing in from the southwest, much of the state was 10 to 15 degrees… Read the rest of this entry »Posted: October 10th, 2017 | Author: admin | Filed under: Al Gore, Global Warming, Monmouth County News, Monmouth Democrats | Tags: Al Gore, Climate Change, Global Warming, Monmouth County News, Monmouth Dems, New Jersey, october, Phil Murphy, Vin Gopal | Comments Off on Global Warming to continue through the weekend for Al Gore’s Monmouth County rally
Senator Cory Booker is slated to travel to Montana next month (h/t The Auditor) to raise money for local Democrats.
Booker is considered a frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, despite his denials of interest in the office. We can expect him to make quite of few trips to Iowa and New Hampshire over the next couple years. But Montana? Montana’s 3 electoral votes have gone to the Republican candidate in each presidential election since 1952 when General Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated Illinois Governor Adlai Stevenson, except 1964 and 1992. President Trump beat Hillary Clinton in Montana by over 20%.Art Gallagher | Filed under: Cartoons, Cory Booker, New Jersey | Tags: 2020 Presidential Politics, Climate Change, Cory Booker, dinosaurs, Global Warming, Montana, Senator Cory Booker | 1 Comment »
A team of American researchers believes they found evidence of a comet that slammed into the Earth about 10 million years after the dinosaurs went extinct — at the Jersey Shore. The impact would have created a period with the closest climate to our current man-made global warming, scientists say. In a paper published in “Science… Read the rest of this entry »Posted: October 19th, 2016 | Author: admin | Filed under: Monmouth County News | Tags: Comet, Global Warming, Jersey Shore, Monmouth County News | Comments Off on Proof of comet impact found at Jersey Shore, researchers say

You may’ve missed this the other day, Save Jerseyans, but some WNYC reporter asked Chris Christie at his Lavallette presser whether NJ Transit had been under-prepared for climate change ahead of Superstorm Sandy. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently the reporter had never ridden NJ Transit before or she’d know that its problems predate the global warming fad!
Virtually everyone in the country, however, knows that the Governor of New Jersey has a very low tolerance for dumb questions; he responded NO to the WNYC question, “cause I don’t think there’s been any proof thus far that Sandy was caused by climate change…”

Well, first of all, I don’t agree with the premise of your question because I don’t think there’s been any proof thus far that Sandy was caused by climate change,” Christie said, as residents and officials from Lavallette clapped. “But I would absolutely expect that that’s exactly what WNYC would say, because you know liberal public radio always has an agenda. And so since I disagree with the premise of your question I don’t feel like I have to answer the rest of it.” (You can hear the full audio at the bottom of this post.)”
