when we have to rely on Russia to come up with a save-face for our hapless, failed and clueless president..the only hope is that he has finally been shown to be so out of his league and depth, that enough people will finally wake up and see the dangerous and wrong direction this entire administration has forced us into.. 2014 must be the year we finally saw the light, and decided to try and save our constitutional republic for future generations..

@pretty darm pathetic: Actually many leading Republicans were calling for equal or more agressive action against Syria in the past year including Romney who wanted the US to send arms to the rebels. Some like McCain have stuck to those positions others like Rubio and Cruz have made themselves look ridiculous by doing a total 180 from previosuly held positions.

Also note that Assad would not have woken up one day and decided to surrender his chemical weapons if not for a threat of a military strike.

Since Russia has been the main arms supplier to Assad it does seem only right that they be the one to step in and take and destroy his chemcial weapons used to kill children and other civialians some of which may well have been made with raw materials purchased from Russia in the first place.

The end game is to make sure that Syria does not use chemical weapons on civilians ever again and if the threat of military action leads to a peaceful solution…great.

Note that Sec. Kerry was the first to suggest that Syria could avoid a military attack by giving up its chemcial weapons. Russia, Syria’s leading ally and weapons supplier then urged Syria to do just that.

be sure you never apply for the “do not call” list, so that you are sure to get the poll calls asking if you support this president- you can be among the last to give up the “hope-and-change”ghost, as he finishes up his torturous last 3 years of weakening and breaking America.. Timing is everything in life: if he had a world political view and knowledge, he’d have seen that once Britain gave up on us, he needed UN help..( for whatever that is worth).. And, if chemical weapons are a bad thing, and we all believe they sure are, where was the immediate outrage and action, then?.. A big fear is that we have become so numb to poor performance by elected officials, (yes, in both parties,) that we don’t know when to scream and demand better.. Well, many of us do, and we are demanding it now,in actions like contacting the electeds and demanding defunding of Obamacare, and not voting for amnesty, and basically trying to build a new majority of hard-working, tax-paying, and fed- up Americans, to begin to turn this mess around..

If I do get that phone call I will let them know that it was revealed today that Obama and Putin discussed the idea of Syria surrendering its chemcial weapons when they met at the summit.

Hopefully the issue of preventing Syria from using chemical weapons on civilians is resolved peacefully however Assad is a killer and a lier and Putin isn’t much better and not to be trusted. As Reagan used to say “trust but verify.”

Anything to help out your guy- be assured, we are presently diminished by the ex-KGB clown..no matter how he or his enablers spin it.. Whatever “secret”line of info you believe you have, neglects to account for the reports of the weapons being moved already, into Libya,or some other hell-hole, in anticipation of this so- called solution..So we will count on the Kremlin to verify?? .. sad and pathetic and naive,as well.. Remember Benghazi, one year ago tomorrow: this a distraction again, and still, zero answers or accountability for one of the worst failures in American diplomacy- God rest those poor souls we left hanging out there- him,Hillary, Rice, and that entire bunch of incompetents!.. Tomorrow, as we pray for our 3,000 lost brethren from 2001, beg the higher power that we never neglect our own, anywhere overseas, again!
